Energy Conversion Engineer (Full-Time)

About the Role
As an Energy Conversion Engineer at TEHPA, you will play a key role in identifying, designing, and implementing high-impact energy-saving measures for our industrial and non-industrial clients. You will work closely with our clients and in-house specialists to analyze plant systems and processes, develop actionable recommendations, and oversee project execution from concept through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed site energy audits and process assessments to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
  • Develop feasibility studies, energy models, and cost-benefit analyses to support client decision-making.
  • Design and specify energy-saving technologies such as heat recovery systems, high-efficiency equipment, and advanced ventilation solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams from Canadian Branch, our parent company and affiliated European manufacturers on equipment applicability and system design.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings and recommendations to clients in clear, practical language.
  • Stay current with applicable energy codes, incentive programs, and best practices in energy management.

Qualifications

  • P.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience in energy efficiency, process optimization, or system design.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in designing and model energy systems using software tools such as ANSYS, Revit, AutoCAD, and MATLAB.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working in industrial, commercial, or institutional environments is an asset.
  • A commitment to sustainability and delivering measurable value for clients.

About the Role
We are looking for an Energy Projects Coordinator to join our team and support the evaluation and implementation of energy efficiency improvements across various buildings. This role involves site assessments, technical coordination, client communication, and collaboration with our parent company and international equipment suppliers.
You’ll work directly under the Executive Director and play a key role in helping shape smart, data-driven energy solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site evaluations of residential and commercial buildings to assess energy performance and identify inefficiencies
  • Collect and analyze data related to building envelope, HVAC, ventilation, and insulation systems
  • Prepare detailed reports with technical findings and recommendations for energy-saving technologies
  • Consult with clients to understand their needs, present findings, and propose upgrade strategies
  • Collaborate with engineering teams from Canadian Branch, our parent company and affiliated European manufacturers on equipment applicability and system design
  • Report project progress and technical insights to the Executive Director
  • Maintain communication with the main stakeholder, the managing director of the parent company
  • Support the development of preliminary energy models and assist in technical planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, construction, energy systems, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of building systems and energy performance challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with technical teams and clients
  • Background in energy audits, HVAC systems, or building retrofits is a strong asset
